All the photos in this post are somehow related to trains. Crystal Brook is an important railway hub. All the trains going north to Darwin go through here. All the trains between Perth and the eastern states go through here. The Indian Pacific, the famous train that links Perth with Sydney, goes through here twice. Once on the way to Adelaide and then it returns through here on it’s way to Sydney.

I was lucky enough to catch one of the coal trains that go from Leigh Creek mines to the power station in Port Augusta. Unfortunately I was on the wrong side of the track to catch the evening light, but I was not game to cross the lines in front of the 3 engines and hundreds of coal carriages.
