The Staircase Range

The Staircase Range between Rolleston and Springsure might not rate as a destination of its own but it certainly is worthwhile to stop at the Staircase Lookout. The vegetation is quite unusual.

The information display tells us about the significance of the area.

There appears to be much more to this area than I could appreciate in our short stop. According to totaltravel “…there are facilities for camping, picnicking and barbeques. Keep an eye open for rare species, birdwatching and fantastic tracks for bushwalking.”
