Rainy Day in Stanthorpe

The weather hasn’t improved. Quite a miserable day. We only ventured out of the caravan to drive into Stanthorpe to fill up with diesel.

Stanthorpe was quite dead on a Sunday morning – everybody in church? Even Woolworths was closed. At the petrol station the attendant had time to fill up for us. I asked the guy at the bowser when will we see the sun again? ‘I reckon this time next year.’

We took a different way back to the campgrounds effectively driving around Storm King Dam. This is a beautiful area, such a shame about the rain.

I managed to catch a short break in the rain to take some photos around the campsite and at the dam foreshore.

Tomorrow we will be heading south, trying to escape from the rain.
