Housekeeping at Gulgong Showgrounds

On Sunday we didn’t leave the showgrounds at all. It was laundry day. We carry a twin tub washing machine on the back seat of the LandCruiser which allows us to do the laundry anywhere. But it is easier if we are on power and water is available close by as at the Gulgong Showgrounds. Lesley managed to get all the laundry washed and dried in beautiful sunshine and a gentle breeze. It was the first time she used laundry balls. It certainly is easier with these balls as there is no need to rinse after the wash.

I worked on the installation of the fridge battery. Pulled a cable from the engine compartment through the firewall to the back of the LandCruiser where the fridge battery is installed. Took me way longer than it should. But as I have never done anything similar to that, I am pleased with what I achieved.

The showgrounds are getting busy. Next weekend will be a gathering of HF-radio enthusiasts. Some 40 vehicles are expected. We will be leaving here on Tuesday, hopefully before it gets too crowded.
