Goomalling Caravan Park – Campfires

We intended to stay in Goomalling just for three days – this extended to two weeks, partly because of the friendly atmosphere of the caravan park, but also because we realised there was much more to be seen in the area. The nightly campfire (weather permitting) certainly adds to the experience and we enjoyed socialising around the campfire. Often it provided an opportunity to watch birds nearby.

Sometimes the campfire was used to cook dinner.

Nice beard Bruce!

On our last night the caravan park managers put on a Christmas in July dinner for a 4-wheel drive club. They even dressed  for the occasion.

We had a great time in and around Goomalling. We certainly can recommend an extended stay in the park and generally in the area. Many thanks to the shire and the people of Goomalling for providing the camping area, for making the tourists sites available and for all the explanation boards explaining the history behind the tourist sites.
