Goomalling – Fundraising Devonshire Tea and Lunch

Every second Monday, a fund raising Devonshire Tea as well as a lunch is put on in the old railway station by a community group in Goomalling. On the Monday that we were there it was the United Church’s turn.
The railway building is set up nicely for these occasions and the tables are laid out with tablecloths and real cutlery. We like to support these events in towns that provide reasonably priced facilities for we travellers.
In the morning we went in for Devonshire tea.

We also went in for lunch. Lesley had a lamb shank and barley soup and I decided on the pumpkin soup. For mains we had pie and vegetables. Lesley remarked that all the cooking reminded her of her mum’s type of cooking.

I went back to the old school/museum and took some more photos.
