Bridgetown roundtrip

Kedron had sent a replacement starter module for our fluorescent light to Bridgetown which had not arrived when we travelled through Bridgetown. Australia Post called us that the parcel had arrived. It was a 360km round trip to collect it, but we anyhow wanted to explore the area between Nannup, Balingup and Bridgetown.

From Nannup we followed the Blackwood River.

The road led through farming country native forests and plantation forests

.

Here a plantation forest next to the bare land left behind after harvesting the trees.

Balingup is a nice little town with an alternative feel about it.

We stopped at the Balingup bakery for lunch, collected the parcel in Bridgetown and then drove back via Manjimup. Here the drive was mainly through tall timber country passing through Jarrah and Karri tree forests.
