Valley of the Giants

On our way to Denmark we detoured to the Valley of Giants. When we arrived at the Tree Top Walk a fine drizzle was in the air. This is a truly amazing experience to walk up these giant ramps until you are 40 meters above ground level, but some trees are still towering over you. Not many more words in this post – let the photos do the talking.

It is difficult to convey in words the awe I felt about these giant trees. We are so small and these trees have been growing here for so long. I hope the photos give the perspective. But nothing beats experiencing the walk yourself.
The Ancient Empire Boardwalk is equally impressive. This walk is at ground level and brings you closer to the smaller plants in this forest. All photos by Lesley unless otherwise stated.

At the entrance there is an exhibition explaining a bit more about the Tree Top Walk.
