In the afternoon of our first day in Denmark, we went for a drive checking out various spots along the Wilson Inlet.
This is the bar that separates the Wilson Inlet from the Southern Ocean. The area is appropriately named Ocean Beach. I understand that this bar is very seldom breached and the Wilson Inlet most of the time is mainly fresh water. The Denmark River flows strongly at the moment and seems to be close to capacity, but the bar still hasn’t broken.
