To Kidnippy Rest Area

From Jilah Rockhole we continued along the Nullarbor at some distance from the Bight. Eventually we arrived at the Great Australian Bight Marine Park viewing area.

Spectacular cliffs.

We walked to the very cliff edge (well as far as you are allowed to walk) and enjoyed the view. Brilliant sunshine now. The weather turned again heading further East. When we get to the Kidnippy Rest Area it is dark in the middle of the afternoon with rain threatening. Strong winds confine us to the Kedron Caravan. The storm eventually breaks.

This is not a scenic rest stop. At least it is possible to get a fair way off the road. When we arrived we were the only ones at the rest area. Eventually there were probably eight vans parked overnight. Plenty of space – not crowded at all.

The evening brightens up.

By sunset there were just a few clouds left in the sky.
