To Cecil Plains

We left RV Homebase around 10:30am – normally we are on the road a lot earlier. Our first day’s drive took us along familiar territory. Through Kilkivan, Goomeri, Kingaroy, Bell down to Cecil Plains. We had planned to stay at the Cecil Plains Weir. When we arrived at the Weir, we realised that we had been here before. When we went to Millmeran Camp Oven festival we filled our water tanks here. Back then it was a very busy place. This time only 4 vehicles stayed over night.

While there is no direct access to the river or Weir from the camping area, a short walk leads to nice views over the river.

Sunset saw us with a glass of wine on chairs outside the caravan.

Sitting outside our caravan, we enjoyed the sunset light - bugs on the other hand drove us inside. Unfortunately a lot of the bugs followed us in.

After our first night out in our ‘new’ caravan, I went for a walk in the early morning light.
