I had read about Bowman Park in the Crystal Brook valley and I wanted to go and have a look at the ruins of the old farm that used to be there. So we drove through Crystal Brook towards Bowman Park. While these photos were not taken on the day, we passed the park as well as the churches on our way.
In the churchyard few roses remain at this time of the year.
This church is on the same site. It looks to be older and probably no longer in use.
While there were ruins at Bowman Park, I couldn’t take any good photos of them. There is an old garden there.
A structure to attract native bees also attracted this lizard.
In the trees Lesley spotted parrots.
We decided to continue our drive along country roads around Crystal Brook. First stop was Gladstone. The railway station looks like it hasn’t been used for a long time.
Nice feature on an old building in Gladstone.
The verandahs stretch all along the main street.
We returned back to the caravan park and had lunch there.
