We decided to stay at 3 O’clock Creek for a night to fill up our shower/washing tanks. The flow on the overhead fed tap was quite slow. With the help of a pump that our fellow travellers carried, the process of filling up was sped up considerably.
Many Galahs were perched in the tree tops.
Close to the water tower, an attempt at re-vegetation has been made and a drip watering system is keeping the young plants alive. There are hundreds of Zebra Finches enjoying the water around the plants.
Although this campsite lacks the natural spring and the facilities provided at the Dalhousie Spring campsite, it has the advantage of drinking water and a bit of solitude. Dalhousie Spring was really busy with people coming and going and the volunteers working there. In contrast, we were the only ones at 3 O’clock Creek and we just enjoyed each others company. Happy hour around sunset finished a good day for us.
