Day 60 – Geraldton

30th July, 2016.

As it appeared that my glasses cannot be repaired, we drove back to Geraldton to organise a new pair at OPSM. For once it was a quick procedure with my prescription being available on their central database and a quick choice of frame. All over in about 20 minutes and we were on our way to look for a hairdresser for much needed haircuts and a beard trim for Erich. We were lucky to find a walk-in salon and only had a short wait.

Today was my birthday and what a change from the same day last year when we were stuck changing a flat tyre on the Savannah Way west of Hells Gate Roadhouse!

We found a very nice restaurant at the Marina, Skeetas, and indulged ourselves a bit with this lovely outlook.

Delicious tapas of sesame crusted fried Camembert and Scallops and Bacon with a honey soy dressing. Yum!

Beautiful grilled Jew Fish on a Saffron Risotto and a nice bottle of bubbly.

Newly cut hair and taped together glasses.

A couple of shots of the Railway Station in Geraldton.

Back at camp in Mullewa and just cheese and crackers for dinner tonight.
